Free Texas Holdem Game

DD Poker is a very nice dowloadable Texas Hold'Em game package that has decent AI and also has free on-line game play so you can play against real people. It's all for fun, no real money is involved.

This software has lots of configurable goodies that make it a good choice to learn and get better at poker.

They used to charge $30 for the 2.0 version of this software, but they introduced a new business model with the 3.0 version (giving it away for free!). They do appreciate any donations however, so if you like the software, think about sending them a few bucks.

It is written in Java, so it works on multiple platforms.

I have to say that I have tried a few other Texas Hold'Em programs and this is my favorite, giving you pot odds, % chance of winning after each card is dealt (just like on TV), allowing you to see all the cards after the hand is over (was the AI bluffing or not?), or even seeing all the cards face-up (cheat modes) so you can see how the AI works.
